Basic Electrical Kit
If you are an electrician or a residential handyman, this Greenlee TK-30 basic electrical kit has all the measuring tools you need. It is a must for every contractor's tool box. The TK-30 basic electrical kit is perfect for doing simple electrical projects or remodeling your house. It includes most of the tools needed to change an electrical outlet or test the strength of a battery. The three core tools included in the kit are the DM-20 manual ranging multimeter, the GT-10 polarity cube, and the GT-11 non-contact voltage detector.
To many electrical workers, these three test instruments are a standard part of the tool bag. Greenlee has put them together in one kit. The DM-20 multimeter is used to test batteries and to measure the current of small electronic circuits. The GT-10 polarity tester is a handy device to troubleshoot a problem in a 120-volt AC grounded outlet. The last tool in this kit is the GT-11, which is used to measure voltage. It safely detects AC voltage without touching the bare conductor.

The TK-30 basic electrical kit includes a DM-20 manual ranging multimeter, which works well for quickly and easily measuring voltage and for checking batteries. Use it for measuring the current of small electronic circuits or for testing 1.5-volt and 9-volt batteries. The handy tool provides AC/DC voltage and DC amperage measurement, resistance measurement, and audible continuity and diode tests. For added convenience, it comes with built-in test leads, so there's no loose parts to misplace. Accessories include a rubber boot to protect the meter from damage and one 9-volt battery.

GT-11 Non-Contact Voltage Detector
The TK-30 basic electrical kit also includes a non-contact voltage detector, which makes it safe and easy to detect voltage in outlets, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers, wires, and cables--or to find a break in a wire. The handy tool offers a measurement category of IV and an application range of 50-1000 volts AC. The voltage detector safely measures AC voltage--no need to touch the bare conductor. A bright LED illuminates and an audible alarm sounds if voltage is present. Other highlights include an on/off switch for longer battery life, a convenient pen-size shape that easily fits into pockets or tool pouches, and a lifetime limited warranty. Accessories include two 1.5-volt AAA batteries.

GT-10 Polarity Cube
To round out the set, the TK-30 basic electrical kit comes with a GT-10 polarity cube, which makes it possible to quickly troubleshoot 120-volt AC grounded outlets. Simply plug the three-pronged polarity tester into the grounded outlet and it takes care of the rest. The unit features a light sequence that indicates whether the outlet's wiring is correct or incorrect.
Like the other tools in the TK-30 basic electrical kit, the polarity tester offers a compact size for slipping into a pocket or tool pouch, and it carries a lifetime limited warranty.
